Humanitarian Aid Workers in Starving Eastern Ghouta Available for Interview

The American Relief Coalition for Syria (ARCS), a Syrian-American coalition of humanitarian organizations working in Syria and the Middle East, has several humanitarian aid workers and staff working in the besieged community of Eastern Ghouta who are available for interview. ARCS member organizations are working on the ground to provide crucial humanitarian services, like food, water, shelter, protection and medical services, to an area that international organizations and aid agencies have found nearly impossible to access. Coalition members have reached well over 200,000 people in Eastern Ghouta alone.

These individuals in Eastern Ghouta can speak about what they’re seeing and hearing on the ground, the general needs of the population, the state of infrastructure, the challenges civilians face, and specifically, on child protection, medical relief, and emergency food and other vital aid including baby formula and clean water. Depending on Internet connection at the timing of the interview, they may be available for live or pre-taped broadcast.

Photo and video material can be made available upon request.

Member organizations who work in Eastern Ghouta with spokespeople available include:

  • Karam Foundation
  • NuDay Syria
  • Syrian American Engineers Association
  • Syrian American Medical Society
  • Syrian Forum USA

Please contact info(at)arcsyria.org regarding interview requests, additional content and information.
